Front of House Manager – Vale do Lobo
Our client is a highly respected, well-established restaurant with a loyal following and a growing reputation for quality, home-style cuisine delivered with professional service. With an annual turnover exceeding €3 million and a discerning clientele that includes ultra-high-net-worth individuals and celebrities, the restaurant is embarking on an exciting new chapter and is looking for a Front of House Manager to lead from the front and evolve into a General Manager role.
The Role
This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned hospitality professional to take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the Front of House, while playing a central role in the restaurant’s evolution. The successful candidate will work closely with ownership and the wider team to assist with and implement a number of exciting operational changes, including a shift toward zonal service, refined workflows, and a more structured, scalable front-of-house operation.
Fine dining experience is not required — what matters is professionalism, strong team leadership, and the ability to deliver a warm, high-quality guest experience.
The role is hands-on and dynamic, especially during the demanding high season, and is ideal for someone who is solutions-oriented, strategically minded, and ready to step into a senior leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all front of house operations, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction
Lead and manage the team on the floor — calm, confident, and in control
Mentor and support FOH staff; champion internal development and growth
Assist with and implement key operational changes, including zonal service .
Collaborate with the kitchen and ownership to refine and standardise service practices
Act as the primary contact for VIP and UHNW guests — discreet, personable, and poised
Monitor daily service flow, revenue tracking, and team performance metrics
Ensure a consistent and warm guest experience that aligns with the restaurant’s identity
What We’re Looking For
A strong candidate with proven experience in reputable or high-volume restaurants
Comfortable implementing change and optimising systems within a team
A hands-on leader who is present and leads by example
Fluent English (essential); Portuguese preferred or open to learning
Professional, emotionally intelligent, and guest-focused
Willing to relocate or commute from Lisbon — accommodation support available
Background in larger, well-known restaurant environments is a plus
Energetic, driven, and excited to be part of a long-term vision
Compensation & Benefits
Starting at 2,500 NET monthly salary upward dependant on experience
